EF Fellowships and Grants
AAUW Palo Alto
and the Educational Foundation
AAUW Palo Alto actively supports the Educational Foundation
through visibility and fund raising within the branch and our community.
AAUW Palo Alto completed an International Fellowship
endowment as of June 1999. Every year, an International Fellow will have the
honor and good fortune of being a recipient of the Palo Alto Branch
International Fellowship. This is the second EF endowment that AAUW Palo Alto
has funded.
For more information about our branchs EF involvement,
contact EF VP, AAUW Palo Alto.

Educational Foundation Fellows
AAUW California coordinates an annual EF Fellows Luncheon
in the fall. Usually held in the East Bay, the Fellows luncheon provides a
unique opportunity to meet and hear from EF grant recipients. Their moving
stories about their research work and the impact of the EF grants make for a
worthwhile afternoon. Check back here in late summer for details about the next
EF Fellows Luncheon. For more information about local EF Fellows and the EF
Fellows Luncheon, contact EF VP, AAUW Palo Alto.

The research publication, Tech-Savvy: Educating Girls in
the New Computer Age,
was released in April 2000. The report is a result of the Foundations 2-year
Commission on Technology, Gender, and Teacher Education, and takes a close look
at girls and teachers perspectives on todays information technology in the
school, home, community and workplace. For more information, go to the American Association of University Women
website.
