AAUW Palo Alto encourages our members to take advantage of the many leadership opportunities that AAUW provides. We make AAUW leadership training opportunities a priority in our branch budget and board actions. We also publicize and encourage community leadership training.
AAUW California District Conference
AAUW California holds district conferences in May/June each year. These are low-cost leadership conferences open to members and non-members alike. It provides a great opportunity to increase skills both within and outside of AAUW, and hone leadership skills that can apply to ones profession and other volunteer efforts.

AAUW California holds yearly conventions each April. Conventions feature dynamic and motivating keynote speakers, timely workshops, interactive dialogues, election of leaders and other organization business, as well as fun and celebration.

AAUW National Convention
AAUW holds biennial national conventions in June of odd-numbered years. National conventions bring together thousands of AAUW members from around the country to further the mission of equity for women and girls. At national convention you feel the power, strength and influence of AAUW. Conventions give you the information you need to be an effective leader, the opportunity to network with AAUW colleagues across the country, and the tools to hone your leadership skills.

AAUW International Convention
The International Federation of University Women (IFUW) holds triennial conventions. IFUW conventions bring together diverse groups of women from around the world to exchange information and help the global community of women advance gender equity. Members exchange views and experiences through workshops, interdisciplinary seminars, networking, leadership training, plenary discussions and informal meetings.
