AAUW Palo Alto branch actively supports and
furthers the public policy agenda and priorities of AAUW. Every year we sponsor
and engage in voter education campaigns to get women out to vote; candidate and
issue forums to educate voters; letter writing campaigns and dissemination of
action alerts to further equity for women and girls.
We have an active Public Policy section whose
members keep informed about AAUW public policy issues, for the purpose of
initiating action and advocacy. To get involved with our Public Policy section,

AAUW Palo Alto was given a Public Policy Award by
AAUW California in April 2001, for recognition of our outstanding work on
public policy issues.
